I provide strategic and operational support services to charities and non-profit organisations, helping them tackle their thorniest challenges in order to grow and thrive.
I specialise in unlocking fresh value from a non-profit’s most intangible assets - their partnerships, brand, volunteers and others - in order to grow their supporter base, increase appreciation for their work and develop new income streams.
I achieve this by drawing on over twenty years experience across the UK non-profit sector - at national, regional and local levels, within both front line and infrastructure organisations. To this approach I add striking, original thinking and dynamic energy.
MY BACKGROUND
I’ve worked in non-profits focused on youth, sport, disability, environment, the arts and community advocacy and development, as well as those focusing on volunteering as a unique medium for delivering wider objectives. I've run departments, delivered major programmes, built teams, developed new business, shaped national policy and created some amazing partnerships. As a serial trustee I’ve helped to form new charities from scratch, as well as take existing ones up a level.
It’s this breadth of experience, working in pressurised environments with minimal resources, that allows me to create tangible new value for those I support.
In addition to my professional roles I volunteer regularly with a number of local charities. I think it’s really important that consultants bring current, lived experience of the areas in which they claim professional expertise. I also undertake regular pro bono consultancy work with smaller charities.
